Jayne Sarah & Dan Phelps

A musical duo of piano and voice ‐ performing an acoustic set of carefully crafted covers of blues, smooth jazz, easy listening and classic songs as well as original material.

Jayne and Dan met in a university kitchen in 2000 and then studied music together for the next three years. As graduates, Jayne moved to Scotland and Dan moved to Wales but then in 2011 they formed a long overdue collaboration and started playing music together.

Jayne Sarah’s soft, gentle vocals are ably matched by Dan Phelps' diverse but sensitive piano style. Their covers range from classics such as ‘Fly Me To The Moon’, ‘Moondance’ and ‘Can’t Help Lovin Dat Man’, to more contemporary songs like 'Yellow’ by Coldplay and ‘Chasing Cars’ by Snow Patrol. Jayne and Dan put their own spin on each piece in an effort to make their lyrics accessible and to keep the audience guessing; will it be a blues version of ‘Aint No Sunshine’ or a stripped back arrangement of a Bon Jovi song? If you’re looking for light entertainment for a function, event, restaurant or hotel, Jayne Sarah and Dan Phelps could be the duo you’re looking for.
